RO Plant at Nutraceutical Company

Customer Needs


This project involved the design, installation and commissioning of a RO plant skid for a pharmaceutical / nutraceutical manufacturer at Auckland to replace their old malfunction RO water system.


The client requires the system to be able to produce ultra high purity water with no bacterial contamination at a fully automated control system so that there is no manual labour operation required.

Our Delivery


The RO plant we designed includes

  • pre-treatment system (Activated Carbon system + softener + 5μm filter + 1μm filter )

  • 1 pass RO

  • Polishing Resin

  • UV light disinfection

  • CIP system for frequent sanitization.

  • Siemens PLC controlled operation.


As there is a strict regulatory on material contamination contact with the products, stainless steel 304 piping and RO vessel was used to ensure food safety and system reliability.


We have also added an additional feature to allow the system to operate and control using either tank level or totalised volume of produced RO water to meet customer's demand.

The RO plant was successfully achieved the client's quality requirement.
